In 2021 an updated Master Drainage Plan was adopted. The major elements were the mapping of drainageway protection zones and local floodplains, with the primary goal to identify major risk areas across the city. The adoption of the updated Master Drainage Plan enables the city to seek federal and state opportunities for funding of the identified projects which are needed to ensure the safety of our citizens. A drainage Capital Improvement Program was developed based on a short, medium, and long-term implementation plan to be adjusted as funds become available.
